Can you help this fucking Pangolin find Hollywood superstar hunk actor Brendan Fraser! Grab your mummy bibles and your digging hammers because we're headed down to Egypt, the windy city!

Can you help this goddamn pangolin solve this heiroglyphics?

Maybe Brandon frasesurre is in this goddamn pile of rocks better check it out! What do you think you plebs

Oh no this isn't Brnadan Fraser you idiots this is either a cool mummy or a blind guy who broke a lot of bones

Hey look this little piece of shit finally got himself a torch and a pith helmet! Time for some real adventure boy I feel bad for all the goddamn monuments he's going to discover

Godammit, Pangolin! That's not the amulet that summons Branden Frassueres friend Corky Romano, that's the amulet that summons VIN DIESEL! Dummy!

A comic I wrote while I was at UF. I am thinking about reviving the idea, probably doing a rewrite and re-illustrating it all. But I still like the concept, or at least where I can go with it. I had fun with this project, it taught me a lot about formatting (it is very clear here that I need to work on the economy of dialogue and word balloons).  Don Ault and his essays and lectures about Carl Barks and his use of spatial arrangement motivated me to try different things with the panels, which is something I hope to pursue further.

A project for my illustration class at UF. I was struggling at the time (mentally mostly) with being overly literal in my work, so I tried to veer into typography and minimalism with much of my work in that course. I decided to redesign the book cover for the novel House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, the story withink lending itself to abstract or simplified expression.
