DaDaDinosaurs

I figure I might as well start off with the comics that are at least tangentially related to the blog name. They were originally titled "the Adventures of Hipster Diplodocus," but that's a bit of a mouthful and I was afraid making fun of hipsters had become cliche (which I suppose is giving in to the toxic irony that drowns us all!).

These comics don't have much Dada going on in them but they do have a lot to do with my brief stint as an art student (a world I thankfully never got to far away from). Originally the title came from an idea for a children's book that me and my friends (including one Alina Shafii, her website is here http://www.alina-shafii.com/ GO TO IT) had, though which has sadly not come to fruition.

If you're wondering why I keep rambling up here, I read in a book that one should document their process as a way of connecting with a potential audience. I'm still getting used to doing this so bear with me if I sound like an idiot.

(PSA: If you'd like to learn about DADA this video is a good place to start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqkIJ0odFxA)

I tried to only use actual dinosaurs for these comics and was pleased that fashion trends suit Argentinasaurus quite well

Fun fact: I do not own suspenders but do have a healthy respect for their work.

Smoking is awful, I lost two grandparents to it and it smells bad, but sometimes those fucking anti-smoking ads where they try to make it all badass or straight-edge cool with vine stars make me want to obliterate my lungs.

People who try to argue with the crazy campus evangelicals are just freshmen trying to get laid.
